  • Help the patient understand the processes and options in care within the facility

  • Support your choices

  • Make sure your choices are carried out

  • Obtain medical records, ask the right questions, keep notes

  • Be at the bedside for hospitalized patients and ensure all correct treatments and testing are done

  • Standing in your place when you are not able

  • Unravel the mess involved with medical records or insurance company issues.

  • Review and negotiate medical bills.
