Dying around the world.

10 states [and Washington, D.C.] in the U.S. have legislation allowing for medical aid in dying (MAiD). Montana currently allows for it by judicial ruling, but it is too soon to be sure it will be the 11th state to encode MAiD into law. A number of other states are considering legislation on MAiD, but they face a mountain of opposition. This topic has created political and social division in our country, but how is it treated in other parts of the world and what can we learn from other countries on this subject?
